The Department of Defense (DOD) is seeking proposals for the topic "DIRECT TO PHASE II: Radio Frequency Real-Time Modeling and Simulation" under the SBIR program. The Navy branch is specifically interested in this topic. The objective is to design, develop, and incorporate realistic environmental responses to radar signals from VHF to X-Band into threat surrogate testbeds for testing advanced Electronic Warfare (EW) blue weapon systems. The technology should include high-fidelity propagation effects, such as free-space propagation, terrain and ocean scattering, multipath signals, and ship targets. The modeling and simulation system should be capable of predicting the wideband electromagnetic channel for radar pulses in real time. The project duration is divided into phases, with Phase I focusing on developing a concept and Phase II modifying the software for real-time operation. The final deployment of the system is expected to have dual-use applications in commercial settings, such as wireless devices in congested environments. The solicitation is open until June 12, 2024. For more information, visit the SBIR topic link or the solicitation agency website.
