OVC FY24 Meeting the Basic Needs of Underserved Crime Victims
Active
Office for Victims of Crime
The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is seeking applications for the OVC FY24 Meeting the Basic Needs of Underserved Crime Victims grant. This grant aims to provide culturally responsive services to crime victims and survivors from historically underserved communities. These communities have been marginalized, adversely affected by inequality, and disproportionately impacted by crime, violence, and victimization. The grant seeks to address the barriers that prevent these victims from accessing critical services, which can lead to long-term physical, emotional, social, and financial problems for survivors. The OVC recognizes that survivors from underserved communities are more likely to seek services from organizations rooted in their communities, as these organizations understand and are skilled at addressing the specific challenges faced by these communities. Through this funding opportunity, the OVC will support organizations that understand the complex, multilayered, culturally specific challenges faced by crime victims from underserved communities when attempting to access assistance and services. For more information and to apply for the grant, please visit the [Funding Opportunity](https://ovc.ojp.gov/funding/opportunities/o-ovc-2024-172164) page. The OVC expects to make 25 awards under this grant opportunity. If you have any questions or need further assistance, you can contact the OVC at MBNCV@usdoj.gov.
