The National Park Service is offering the Norman Y. Mineta Japanese American Confinement Education Grants to support educational projects that highlight the historical significance of Japanese American confinement during World War II. Eligible applicants, specifically private nonprofit organizations that promote the understanding of the Japanese American experience, are encouraged to submit proposals for impactful projects that will educate the public and foster a commitment to equal justice under the law. With a total funding authorization of up to $10 million, individual grants will range from $750,000 to $10 million, and applications must be submitted electronically by 5:00 PM MT on November 14, 2024.
