The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is offering a federal grant opportunity titled "Rural Communities Opioid Response Program-Overdose Response" aimed at enhancing healthcare services in rural areas by addressing substance use disorder (SUD) needs. The program seeks to establish or expand critical services such as naloxone distribution, treatment sites, and recovery housing, with a focus on culturally appropriate and accessible care, while actively involving individuals with lived experience in the planning and implementation processes. A total of $6 million is available for up to 20 grants, each with a maximum award of $300,000 for a one-year performance period beginning September 1, 2025. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by March 10, 2025, and can reach out to Diana Wang at ruralopioidresponse@hrsa.gov for further information.
