The Office for Victims of Crime (OVC) is inviting applications for the FY24 Emergency and Transitional Pet Shelter and Housing Assistance Grant Program, aimed at providing support for victims of domestic violence and their companion animals. This grant program seeks to fund shelter and transitional housing assistance, ensuring that victims can access safe accommodations alongside their pets, service animals, emotional support animals, or horses. With an estimated total program funding of $3 million, the OVC plans to award between $300,000 and $500,000 to approximately 10 organizations that demonstrate a history of effective work in addressing domestic violence and related issues. Interested applicants must submit their proposals by July 15, 2024, and can reach out to the OJP Response Center at grants@ncjrs.gov for assistance with the application process.
