The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking input for its upcoming "Disaster Risk Management (DRM) Activity" initiative in Ethiopia. This Request for Information (RFI) aims to gather insights on enhancing disaster preparedness, response coordination, and resource mobilization to mitigate the impacts of disasters, particularly those exacerbated by climate change. The initiative focuses on strengthening local systems through anticipatory actions, gender integration, private sector engagement, and capacity building for local organizations, with key outcomes including improved community involvement in disaster management and timely emergency response activation. Interested organizations are encouraged to submit their feedback by June 2, 2023, via email to caddis@usaid.gov, as this RFI is intended solely for information gathering and does not constitute a binding proposal for contracts or assistance.
