The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is offering a cooperative agreement through the Rural Residency Planning and Development Technical Assistance (RRPD-TA) Program, aimed at enhancing healthcare access in rural communities by supporting the establishment and sustainability of rural residency programs. The program seeks applicants to provide technical assistance to organizations developing these residency programs, with a focus on overcoming challenges related to workforce shortages and ensuring that physicians are trained to practice in rural areas. Eligible applicants include public and private non-profits, for-profit organizations, state and local governments, and tribal entities, with a total funding amount of up to $1.25 million available for one cooperative agreement over five years. Eligible Applicants
These types of domestic* organizations may apply: Public institutions of higher education. Private institutions of higher education. Nonprofits with or without a 501(c)(3) IRS status. For-profit organizations, including small businesses. State, county, city, township, and special district governments, including the District of Columbia, domestic territories, and freely associated states. Independent school districts. Native American tribal governments. Native American tribal organizations. * Domestic means the 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, the U.S. Virgin Islands, the Federated States of Micronesia, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Republic of Palau. Individuals are not eligible applicants under this NOFO.
