The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) for the "Modernizing Agriculture Activity" (ModAg) in Rwanda, aimed at enhancing agricultural productivity, access to finance and markets, and consumption of nutritious food. ModAg will employ a market systems approach to strengthen agricultural practices and support private sector engagement, focusing on sustainable productivity, financial access, improved market outcomes, and fostering a supportive regulatory environment. It targets small-scale farmers and aims to involve women, youth, and individuals with disabilities. The document outlines specific objectives, including increasing agricultural productivity through improved practices and technologies, enhancing financial literacy among farmers, and expanding access to nutritious food markets.
