Tribal Behavioral Health

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is forecasting a grant opportunity titled "Tribal Behavioral Health," aimed at preventing and reducing suicidal behavior and substance use/misuse among American Indian/Alaska Native (AI/AN) youth, up to age 24. This program seeks to build a robust network of systems, services, and partnerships to promote mental health and address the impacts of trauma within these communities. With an estimated total program funding of $7,861,000 and the expectation of awarding 31 grants, eligibility is limited to federally recognized AI/AN tribes, tribal organizations, Urban Indian Organizations, or consortia of tribes or tribal organizations.
