The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is forecasting a cooperative agreement opportunity aimed at enhancing the capacity for HIV prevention, diagnosis, and treatment in the Central American region under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). This initiative will focus on improving access to HIV prevention services, increasing knowledge of HIV status through enhanced testing strategies, and supporting treatment outcomes for individuals living with HIV, particularly in El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama. The estimated total funding for the first year is approximately $17 million, with two awards expected, and applications must be submitted electronically by February 17, 2025, to be considered.
