The Senegal USAID-Dakar is offering a grant opportunity titled "Malaria Elimination in Senegal, Community Health and Strengthening MNCH activities". This grant aims to advance Senegal towards its goal of malaria elimination by 2030. The focus of the first year will be on the country's northern zone, specifically the regions of Matam, St-Louis, and Louga, which have malaria annual incidence levels below the elimination threshold. The grant will support specific programmatic activities and milestones related to malaria elimination. Additionally, the grant includes activities to strengthen maternal, newborn, and child health care in the three regions, including improving the quality of health care facilities, obstetrical surgical units, neonatal care services, family planning, and nutrition services. The grant also aims to improve the utilization of quality community health services in the regions, increase preventive and care-seeking behaviors for maternal, newborn, and child health, family planning, nutrition, and zoonotic diseases, and enhance leadership, management, and governance of community health. Eligibility for this grant is restricted to local organizations. The grant has an award ceiling of $3,000,000 and an award floor of $1,000,000. The expected number of awards is three. The closing date for applications is June 28, 2024. For more information, contact Khady Sadio, the Acquisition-Assistance Specialist, at ksadio@usaid.gov.
