The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is offering grants through the Fair Housing Initiatives Program (FHIP) to support education and outreach initiatives aimed at preventing discriminatory housing practices. Eligible applicants, including Qualified Fair Housing Enforcement Organizations, state or local government agencies, and non-profit organizations, are encouraged to develop and implement programs that inform the public about their rights under the Fair Housing Act (FHA) and promote racial equity in housing. With an estimated total program funding of $8,350,000, HUD anticipates awarding approximately 61 grants, with individual awards ranging from $75,000 to $1,300,000.
