The Community Oriented Policing Services (COPS Office) of the U.S. Department of Justice is inviting applications for the FY25 Preparing for Active Shooter Situations (PASS) program, aimed at enhancing public and law enforcement safety through specialized training for first responders. This cooperative agreement seeks to fund initiatives that prepare law enforcement, emergency medical services, and other key personnel to effectively respond to active shooter incidents and violent threats, in alignment with the goals of the 2016 Protecting Our Lives by Initiating COPS Expansion (POLICE) Act. With an estimated total program funding of $10.8 million and a single award anticipated, eligible applicants must have received a direct invitation from the COPS Office, and applications are due by June 24, 2025.
