The Centers for Disease Control-GHC is forecasting a cooperative agreement opportunity titled "Improving Health Security and Building International Health Regulations Core Capacities in the Republic of Uganda." This initiative aims to enhance Uganda's capabilities for rapid detection and effective response to health threats, addressing gaps identified in the 2023 Joint External Evaluation of Uganda's Global Health Security capacities, including areas such as surveillance, laboratory services, and emergency response systems. The program is critical for strengthening health security in Uganda, supporting national legislation, and operationalizing real-time funding for health emergencies. The estimated total program funding is $35 million, with three awards expected, and applications must be submitted electronically by January 1, 2025.
