The Rural Housing Service (RHS) is offering the Rural Housing Preservation Grant, aimed at providing financial assistance to qualified public agencies and private nonprofit organizations, including Faith-Based and Community Organizations, to support very low- and low-income homeowners in rural areas with home repairs and rehabilitation. The grant program also extends to rental property owners and cooperative housing complexes that agree to make their units available to low- and very low-income individuals. With an estimated total program funding of $13.1 million and approximately 100 awards expected, applicants must submit a preapplication that includes a detailed statement of activities, financial assistance types, and an annual estimated budget, among other requirements.
