    Description

The U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center is seeking applications for the construction of a base perimeter security fence and patrol road at the Rygge Air Station in Norway.

The primary objective is to enhance the security infrastructure at the base by installing a robust fence with barbed wire and signage, along with a dedicated patrol road. The project involves constructing a Type A welded wire mesh fence, surmounted by three strands of barbed wire, across irregular terrain. This will be accompanied by the development of a gravel security patrol road, as well as the installation of infrastructure for future connections to lighting and intrusion detection systems.

Site preparation and development work is also included in the scope, encompassing storm drainage systems and landscaping to integrate the fence seamlessly into the environment.

Eligible applicants for this project should have expertise and experience in construction, particularly in the erection of security fences and related infrastructure. The Army reserves the right to award the contract to the most competitive offer, which may not necessarily be the lowest priced option.

The estimated funding available for this project is between $1 million and $5 million. The contract will be a firm fixed price agreement, and interested parties should submit their applications by the 21st of June, 2024.

The evaluation of applications will be based on the offeror's ability to meet the specified requirements, with particular attention to their experience, proposed price, and past performance. Applications should be submitted with a detailed technical approach, project schedule, and a clear breakdown of costs.

For further clarification or questions, interested individuals or organizations can contact Shawna West at shawna.m.west@usace.army.mil or Bjorn Hale at bjorn.hale@usace.army.mil.

Amendments have been issued on various dates, primarily extending deadlines and providing additional clarification on the project requirements, which should be reviewed prior to submission.
