    Description

Sources Sought DEPT OF DEFENSE DEPT OF THE ARMY is seeking responses for the Dexter Building Fire Suppression Replacement. This project involves providing fire protection for the Dexter building at Lookout Point during deep drawdown periods. The Dexter building is an administrative building at the Lookout Point Dam, and there is also a nearby warehouse and another building in the compound. The Government is exploring alternative methods to protect against potential fires during low drawdown periods, including the installation of a water-nitrogen fire suppression mist system or utilizing the water in the unwatering system of the dam as a water source. If the unwatering system is chosen, fire pumps and valves would be required to connect to the Dexter Fire Office building. The project also includes the option to install an extra pump in the unwatering section of the Lookout Dam or replace one of the existing unwatering pumps. Interested parties must submit their responses electronically to Michael.E.Saldana@usace.army.mil.
