The Department of Defense, through the Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity, intends to issue a sole source contract to the Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) for the provision of advanced surgical training courses to Ukrainian frontline medical personnel. This initiative aims to enhance trauma care capabilities in response to ongoing conflicts, aligning with Congressional priorities outlined in the FY2023 National Defense Authorization Act, which emphasizes bilateral partnerships between the U.S. and Ukraine. The contract, valued at approximately $4 million over a 12-month period, is expected to be awarded within the next 30 days, with inquiries directed to Elizabeth O'Hara at elizabeth.m.ohara3.civ@health.mil or Charles Bartlett at charles.j.bartlett.civ@health.mil.
