The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Louisville District, is preparing to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the construction of an Army Reserve Center and associated facilities in Birmingham, Alabama. This project involves the design and construction of a 53,000 square foot Army Reserve Center, a 19,300 square foot Vehicle Maintenance Shop, and a 3,400 square foot Unheated Storage Building, along with various supporting facilities and infrastructure improvements. The anticipated contract, valued at over $10 million, will be awarded through a Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP) contract under a Full and Open procurement process, with proposals evaluated based on a Best Value Trade Off source selection.
