Sources Sought DEPT OF DEFENSE NSWC Prototype Neutron Radiography (N-Ray) Facility
The Department of Defense, specifically the Department of the Navy's NSWC Indian Head Division, has issued a Sources Sought notice for the procurement of a prototype neutron radiography (N-Ray) facility. This facility will be used for non-reactor-based N-ray non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities.
The project involves building renovations, including civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection work. The main building will have multiple bays to support the N-ray NDT capabilities, with spaces for an accelerator bay, radiation area entrance maze, neutron control room, digital interpretation bay, CT operations bay, and more. Additionally, an additional building will be used for long-term storage of materials.
Interested contractors are required to submit a brief capabilities statement package demonstrating their ability to perform the requested services. The submission deadline is 02:00 PM (EST) on Wednesday, 24 July 2024.
