The Department of Veterans Affairs, in a Special Notice, intends to award a firm-fixed contract to Restorative Therapies, Inc. for the procurement of (2) RT300 Neurological Rehabilitation Systems. These systems will be used in the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Gym at the West Roxbury VA Medical Center in Massachusetts. The RT300 systems utilize functional electrical stimulation (FES) to stimulate peripheral nerves and generate muscle contractions and patterned muscle activity. They are specifically designed for individuals with weak or paralyzed muscles, allowing them to perform activities and exercises that they may not be able to do otherwise. The proposed systems include various components such as stimulation cables, hand grips, arm rests, gloves, and electrodes. The contract will also include delivery, training, and technical support for the devices. The procurement is being conducted as a sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, as Restorative Therapies is the only responsible source that can meet the agency's requirements. The estimated value of the contract is $63,423.00.
