The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) intends to negotiate a sole source contract for a Static Angle of Repose Measurement System with GranuTools, located in Belgium. This procurement aims to enhance research capabilities related to the rheological behavior of metal additive manufacturing (AM) powders, which is critical for advancing measurement science in the U.S. industry. The system will facilitate the measurement of the static angle of repose, a key parameter in understanding granular materials, by creating a conical pile and assessing its angle from multiple perspectives. Interested parties who believe they can meet the requirements must submit their capabilities in writing by April 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. EST to Hing Pan Wong at hingpan.wong@nist.gov.
