The Department of Defense, through the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District, is seeking industry input for a maintenance dredging project at Brazos Island Harbor, Texas. The project entails dredging approximately 350,000 cubic yards of material from the entrance and jetty channels, with potential beach placement of the dredged material, and emphasizes compliance with safety and environmental regulations, particularly regarding sea turtle habitats. This maintenance work is crucial for ensuring navigational safety and operational efficiency in the harbor, with an estimated construction value between $5 million and $10 million and a required completion timeframe of 65 calendar days post-notice to proceed. Interested firms, especially small businesses and service-disabled veteran-owned companies, must submit their qualifications and relevant documentation by January 2, 2025, in anticipation of a formal solicitation expected in May 2025.
