    Description

    Presolicitation Notice: NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION (NASA) is planning to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Safety and Mission Assurance Services (SMAS) III. This procurement aims to support the Safety and Mission Assurance (SMA) Directorate's objective of reducing the risk of exploring Earth and Space. The services will include safety and mission assurance services, independent surveillance, audit, review, and assessment of design, development, test, and mission operations activities. The place of performance will be at NASA GSFC/Wallops, contractor facilities, and other specified locations. The contract will be a Cost Plus Fixed-Fee (CPFF), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Single-Award contract with a five-year ordering period, with a maximum ordering value of $226M. The procurement is set aside for small businesses. The anticipated release of the Draft RFP is between late October and early November 2023, with the Final RFP expected in January 2024. A hybrid Industry Day will be held after the release of the Draft RFP. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer.
