The stations are aged, in failed condition, and pose a safety hazard. The contractor will be responsible for replacing pressure reducing valves, shut off valves, strainers, safeties, steam traps, and other associated steam and condensate components. The project also includes prefabrication of piping offsite, radiographic examination of welds, and pressure testing.
