The Department of Defense, specifically the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Detroit District, is seeking contractors for the Clinton River Microbial Source Tracking project in Macomb and Oakland Counties, Michigan. The primary objective is to conduct microbial source tracking (MST) of E. coli samples from the Clinton River to identify potential human sources of contamination, which will aid in the development of the Macomb County Clinton River Water Quality Monitoring Plan. This initiative supports the Michigan Water Strategy aimed at protecting and restoring aquatic ecosystems through long-term monitoring of water quality. The solicitation for this project is anticipated to be issued in August 2024, and interested contractors must register on SAM.gov and PIEE to submit proposals.
