The Department of Energy, through the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), is seeking suppliers capable of fabricating small quantities of RSFQ superconducting logic family wafers. The objective is to develop dies or wafers that will enable low-noise efficient cryogenic sensor processing and control, which are critical for advancing superconducting digital computing technologies. This initiative is part of LBNL's exploration of potential scientific applications for superconducting technologies, with specific requirements for the wafers to be 5mm x 5mm in size, accommodating approximately 10,000 Josephson Junctions and at least 40 I/O pads. Interested parties must respond to the Request for Information (RFI) No. BZ-2025-09 by April 22, 2025, detailing their capabilities and relevant experience, while noting that financial proposals are not required.
