The Department of Defense, through the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, is seeking capabilities packages from potential sources for the Flortaucipir F18 (Tauvid) radioactive tracer, intended for use in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Computed Tomography (CT) imaging. This procurement aims to establish a five-year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) to ensure rapid access to this critical imaging agent, which is essential for detecting tau neurofibrillary tangles, significant markers of Alzheimer’s disease. Vendors must comply with FDA regulations, provide secure delivery access to the base, and adhere to safety protocols for handling radioactive materials. Interested firms are required to submit their capabilities packages by October 14, 2024, to the primary contact, Mr. Curtis Thomas, at curtis.thomas.4@us.af.mil, with a copy to Amanda Hoyng at amanda.hoyng@us.af.mil.
