The U.S. Department of Labor is seeking proposals for the operation of the Cascades Job Corps Center located in Sedro Woolley, Washington. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of services, including academic and career technical training, outreach and admissions, and career transition services, with a goal of maintaining a Planned On Board Strength (OBS) of 300 residential students, comprising 180 males and 120 females. This initiative is crucial for enhancing opportunities for disadvantaged youth through the Job Corps program, ensuring that the center recruits a minimum of 470 new students annually and supports their transition into employment or further education. Proposals are due by the specified deadlines, and interested parties can contact Carmelo P. Nuestro at Nuestro.Carmelo.P@dol.gov or John Chang at chang.chin-jen@dol.gov for further information.
