The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking sources capable of providing a Beam Profiler as part of its new Sensor Science Division program aimed at advancing measurement science for illicit drug identification and quantification. The Beam Profiler must meet specific requirements, including continuous spectral coverage from 6 mm to 11 mm, a frame rate of at least 30 frames per second, and a resolution of 640x480 pixels or greater, among other technical specifications. This procurement is critical for the characterization of laser beams used in infrared imaging for drug detection, with the intention to issue a Sole Source Award to DataRay if no other capable sources are identified. Interested parties should respond to the notice by contacting Elizabeth Timberlake or Tracy Retterer via email, with questions due by February 11, 2025.
