The Department of Health and Human Services, specifically the Indian Health Service's Navajo Area Indian Health Service, intends to award a sole source contract for the installation of a Direct Digital Controls (DDC) NAE engine at the Chinle Comprehensive Health Care Facility in Arizona. The project involves replacing a malfunctioning NAE2 engine, which is critical for regulating indoor air quality and ensuring the safety of patients and staff, as the facility's DDC system has been in operation since the early 2000s. The selected contractor, Johnson Controls, is uniquely qualified due to their ownership of the existing Metasys System licenses and their prior work on the facility's DDC system, which is essential to avoid service interruptions that could impact patient care. Interested parties may contact Tanya Begay at tanya.begay2@ihs.gov or call 928-674-7635 for further information, with the contract period set from May 12, 2025, to September 30, 2025.
