The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Ames Research Center is seeking to extend the Entry Systems Technology Research and Development (ESTRAD) contract with Analytic Mechanics Associates (AMA) on a sole-source basis. This extension aims to provide ongoing support for the development of technologies related to prototype vehicles capable of hypervelocity travel in Earth's atmosphere and other celestial bodies, which is critical for missions involving access to Earth orbit, sustained hypersonic flight, and planetary entry. The contract extension will last for eight months, from December 1, 2024, to July 31, 2025, without increasing the current contract value, and interested organizations must submit their qualifications by 5:00 PM Pacific Time on October 2, 2024, to be considered.
