The General Services Administration (GSA) is issuing a combined synopsis and solicitation notice for a small business set-aside procurement. Quotations are requested for a firm-fixed price contract to supply, install, and commission an Engine Multi-Axis Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining Center with tooling and fixtures for the Marine Corps Logistics Command, Marine Depot Maintenance Command (MDMC) in Albany, Georgia.
The CNC Machining Center is intended for diesel engine maintenance and repair, offering capabilities like boring, honing, and surfacing. The machinery must be a 3-axis boring and surfacing machine with specific technical specifications, including axis movement and spindle rotation speed. Along with the machinery, the contractor is responsible for providing a complete setup, including tooling and fixture kits, and ensuring operator training.
This procurement falls above the Simplified Acquisition Threshold, with a budget exceeding $250,000. The agency seeks a single-award contract, with delivery and installation to be completed within 180 days of the order. Vendors interested in quoting must submit their responses by email on or before the deadline of 3:00 PM CT, August 19, 2024.
To submit a quote, vendors must provide the required information outlined in Section L of the solicitation document, including a completed pricing spreadsheet and technical compliance matrix. Additionally, bidders should highlight their relevant prior experience, especially in engine-related CNC machining projects.
The government will evaluate quotes based on price reasonableness and the vendor's ability to meet the complex technical requirements and timelines. Standard commercial warranty provisions apply.
