The Medical Technology Enterprise Consortium (MTEC) has issued Request for Project Proposals (RPP) MTEC-25-09-AMM for the development of Advanced Medical Monitor (AMM) Family of Systems (FoS). This initiative seeks to create Next Generation Medical Monitors (NGMM) and Expeditionary Medical Monitors (EMM) to continuously track vital signs and provide actionable data for military patient triage, treatment, and evacuation. The RPP emphasizes devices suitable for expeditionary use, easy maintenance, and advanced noninvasive physiological monitoring. Key requirements include robust vital sign capture, interoperability with other devices and military health systems, and compliance with MIL-STD-810 and IP65 standards. Both NGMM and EMM devices need to provide advanced decision support, particularly for hemorrhage prediction, and integrate with existing medical information systems. The U.S. Government has allocated up to $13.07 million for initial funding, with multiple awards anticipated for each focus area. Proposals will undergo a two-stage evaluation process, starting with white papers, and MTEC membership is required for submission. A Proposers Conference will be held to provide further insight into the technical requirements.
