The Department of Defense, through the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), is preparing to solicit proposals for the FY25 Selected Restricted Availability (SRA) of the USS NEW YORK (LPD 21). This procurement aims to ensure that the ship is mission-ready and maintains a satisfactory condition of readiness following a comprehensive maintenance and repair period, which is expected to last approximately 14 months from September 2025 to November 2026. The anticipated contract will encompass all necessary labor, supervision, production, testing, and quality assurance to complete the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Availability, and will be competed on a coast-wide basis due to its duration exceeding 10 months. Interested contractors should monitor the Procurement Integrated Enterprise Environment (PIEE) and SAM.gov for the solicitation release, expected around November 21, 2024, and must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be eligible for award.
