The Department of Defense, through the Military Sealift Command (MSC) of Norfolk, is seeking information regarding the availability and pricing of self-sustaining U.S. flag, Jones Act vessels, and ABS certified tug and barge units for a dry cargo voyage charter. The vessels must be capable of transporting a minimum of 100 Twenty-Foot Equivalent Units (TEUs) of containerized ammunition while complying with hazardous materials regulations, with specific cargo specifications related to hazard classes and weight limits. Interested parties are invited to submit detailed vessel information, confirm cargo capacity, and outline charter rates by February 5, 2025, with the designated load and discharge ports being Military Ocean Terminal Concord, CA, and West Loch, HI, respectively.
