The U.S. Department of Justice, Federal Bureau of Prisons, seeks experienced medical service providers to tender proposals for delivering comprehensive healthcare at the United States Penitentiary (USP) in Atwater, California.
This $47 million contract aims to secure primary, emergency, and specialized medical care for inmates, offering a four-year term with potential extensions. The scope of work entails providing general and specialized physicians, along with corresponding medical equipment, with a focus on general surgery, orthopedic surgery, and urology services.
To be considered, applicants must submit compliant proposals by the extended deadline, encompassing FAR provisions and unique DOJ clauses. The evaluation process will assess the technical capabilities and costs of each proposal.
All applicants must possess the necessary licenses, certifications, and expertise to deliver the required medical services. The Bureau of Prisons emphasizes the correction of an earlier error in the solicitation regarding the duration and frequency of general surgeon visits, which affects the overall specialist visit requirements. Offerors are expected to acknowledge this amendment and submit their proposals accordingly.
