The United States Marine Corps (USMC) is seeking industry input through a Request for Information (RFI) for the procurement of shelter variants compatible with the Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) and its trailer. The USMC aims to modernize existing High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV)-based shelters by exploring options for three specific types: maintenance, ambulance, and trailer-based shelters, each requiring features such as environmental control, interior lighting, and storage capabilities while meeting military durability and transportability standards. This modernization effort is crucial for enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness in various military applications. Interested parties must submit a white paper detailing technical specifications, compatibility, functionality, and estimated costs by November 11, 2024, to Mark Denhup at mark.denhup2@usmc.mil or Sarah Kilmer at sarah.kilmer@usmc.mil.
