    Sources Sought HEALTH AND HUMAN SERVICES, DEPARTMENT OF NATIONAL INSTITUTES OF HEALTH: Mouse cardiac array coil for 7 Tesla MRI scanner

    This notice is a Small Business Sources Sought notice issued by the National Institutes of Health NIDA. The purpose of this notice is to gather information about qualified small business sources capable of providing a mouse cardiac array coil for a 7 Tesla MRI scanner. The coil is intended to support cardiovascular studies of transgenic and wild type mice as a function of aging using the Biospec 70/30 MRI scanner.

    The mouse cardiac array coil must have several salient characteristics, including being anatomically-shaped to fit mice up to 50 g in body weight, having four channels in a 2 X 2 coil element topology, and being fixed-tuned to 300.1 MHz. It should also have a coil active length of at least +/- 16 mm and width at least +/- 16 mm, a coil signal-to-noise ratio of at least 4600/ mm-3, and be compatible with the existing Bruker 86 mm quadrature volume coil.

    The procurement is for a quantity of 1 each, with a delivery date of 60 days after receipt of award. The place of performance is Baltimore, Maryland, United States.
