The Department of Defense, through the Defense Health Agency (DHA), intends to award a sole source contract to the National Association of Emergency Medical Technicians (NAEMT) for the provision of Prehospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS) course materials, instructor support, logistics, and certification for DHA personnel. This procurement aims to ensure that military first responders and combat medics are equipped with the necessary training to manage trauma effectively, adhering to current Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) guidelines. The PHTLS training is critical for maintaining the readiness of prehospital providers, coordinated by the Defense Medical Readiness Training Institute (DMRTI).
