The Department of Homeland Security's Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction Office (CWMD) is seeking information from industry partners for a study focused on the timeliness of detection and response to intentional biological threat releases. The primary objective of this study is to develop and evaluate metrics that measure the effectiveness and timeliness of response processes and systems in mitigating biological threats, taking into account various operational environments and biological factors. This initiative is crucial for enhancing the United States' capabilities in biothreat detection and response, ultimately aiming to improve public health and safety outcomes.
