Event-Based Sensor Readout Integrated Circuit

The Department of Defense, specifically the United States Air Force, is seeking proposals for the development of an Event-Based Sensor Readout Integrated Circuit (EBS ROIC) as part of the Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program. The objective is to create a radiation-hardened EBS ROIC that features small pixel pitch and large format, capable of hybridizing with commonly available infrared detector materials, thereby enhancing capabilities for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) missions. This initiative is crucial for improving data handling in high-rate tracking applications, with a focus on reducing background data generation and optimizing performance metrics such as latency, timing accuracy, and power consumption.
