The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) is offering the Museum Grants for African American History and Culture (AAHC) program for the fiscal year 2025, with a total funding pool of $6 million aimed at enhancing the capacity of African American museums and supporting the professional development of museum staff. Eligible applicants include state, local, or tribal governments, nonprofit organizations with tax-exempt status, and historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs), with project funding ranging from $5,000 to $500,000 for initiatives that improve public programming, collection access, and community collaborations.
