The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) is offering grants through the Awards for Faculty Institutional Support program specifically aimed at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs). This limited competition is designed for institutions that have faculty or staff members who have received NEH Awards for Faculty in fiscal year 2024, with the objective of enhancing the capacity for humanities research by funding temporary instructors to cover teaching responsibilities during the fellow's absence. Each eligible institution may receive funding up to $30,000, calculated at a fixed rate of $2,500 per month for replacement instructors, with a funding period ranging from 2 to 12 months. Applications are due by May 1, 2024, and interested parties can find more information by contacting the Division of Research Programs at facultyawards@neh.gov or visiting the program's webpage at https://www.neh.gov/program/awards-faculty-institutional-support-hbcus-and-tcus.
