Awards for Faculty

The National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) invites applications for its Awards for Faculty programs targeting Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), and Tribal Colleges and Universities (TCUs). This funding aims to enhance humanities research opportunities for faculty and staff, supporting projects that lead to scholarly outputs such as books, articles, digital resources, and course improvements. The application deadline is April 9, 2025, for anticipated funding of $1.5 million for approximately 22 awards, each up to $60,000. Eligible applicants include individual faculty and staff associated with the specified institutions. The funding does not require cost-sharing and supports work from two to twelve months. Activities funded may include research into primary sources, course development, and community engagement through workshops. The application process is facilitated via Grants.gov, and a pre-application webinar will be available by February 5, 2025.
