The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is offering a funding opportunity through the 2025 Hawaii Bay Watershed Education and Training (B-WET) program, aimed at enhancing K-12 environmental education initiatives in Hawaii. This program seeks to support projects that foster community stewardship and develop informed individuals capable of engaging in responsible decision-making regarding coastal and watershed ecosystems, utilizing Meaningful Watershed Educational Experiences (MWEEs) that integrate local Indigenous Knowledge and climate science. With a total funding pool of $1,000,000, individual grants will range from $50,000 to $150,000 over a two-year project period, and applicants must ensure alignment with NOAA's priorities while promoting inclusion of underrepresented populations. Interested organizations must complete registrations with SAM.gov, Grants.gov, and eRA Commons before the application deadline of January 31, 2025, and can direct inquiries to Mahealani Bambico at Mahealani.Bambico@noaa.gov.
