The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is forecasting the availability of the Sober Truth on Preventing Underage Drinking Act (STOP Act) Grant Program, aimed at preventing and reducing alcohol use among youth and young adults aged 12-20 across the United States. This grant program seeks to address various factors related to underage drinking, including changing social norms, reducing opportunities for access, enhancing enforcement efforts, and mitigating the negative consequences associated with underage alcohol consumption. With an estimated total program funding of $749,000 and the expectation of awarding 12 grants, eligible applicants include domestic public and private nonprofit entities that are current or former Drug Free Communities (DFC) Support Program recipients.
