The Geological Survey is offering a funding opportunity for a Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU) partner to conduct research on advancing software implementation and deployment of custom applications. The research will focus on barrier island habitat change/classification, geo-environmental analysis, and species population control scenarios. The goal is to promote zero-trust architecture practices and contribute to the research, computer science, and resource management communities. The funding opportunity does not require cost sharing or matching. The award ceiling is $485,000 and the award floor is $117,030. Eligible applicants must be a participating partner of the Gulf Coast partners of the CESU Program. The application deadline is May 29, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. ET.
