The Department of the Interior is inviting proposals for the 2025 Technical Assistance Program (TAP), aimed at providing grant funding for short-term projects that address immediate needs in U.S. insular areas, including Guam, American Samoa, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and the U.S. Virgin Islands, as well as the Freely Associated States of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands, and the Federated States of Micronesia. The program focuses on key areas such as disaster planning and recovery, economic development, education, capacity building, and public safety, with a total estimated funding of $22.3 million available for approximately 70 awards ranging from $0 to $400,000. Eligible applicants include local government agencies, nonprofit organizations, and educational institutions within the specified territories, and all proposals must adhere to strict application guidelines and be submitted electronically via Grants.gov by the deadline of August 15, 2025.
