The Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs at the U.S. Department of State is offering the FY25 Cultural Property Agreement Implementation Grants to support initiatives that combat illicit trafficking and promote the preservation of cultural heritage. Eligible applicants include foreign institutions of higher education, foreign organizations, foreign public entities, and U.S. nonprofit organizations, with funding ranging from $25,000 to $150,000 and a total estimated program funding of $500,000 for approximately 5-10 grants. This program emphasizes collaborative efforts to enhance cultural protection through activities such as training law enforcement, creating digital inventories, and securing archaeological sites, while excluding the purchase of privately owned cultural property and fundraising campaigns.
